October catch up

OH Deer-- where to start.  The Deer are every where.  This one is just hanging out in Belnap's front yard.  We see more deer in our neighborhood and eating our flowers than we ever do up in the Mountains.

Laia finished one dance - homecoming- and the next day she asked a boy to Halloween dance.  The funny part is she set up the poster and yellow caution tape on the wrong door step.  Good thing the poster said, "Peyton" or the neighbors would have been totally confused!

Laila continues to do scary special effect makeup.  This time  her officer friend-Addi Fox's elbow is all buggered up..Ouch

We spend a lot of time with the YSA's.  Last week we had something every night but one--church on Sunday , FHE at the Cross E Ranch on Monday, Mission call opening and Bishopric meeting on Tuesday,  Temple session and gathering at our home after for treats on Wednesday, Volleyball and In and Out on Thursday night and  Cleaning the church and Conference on Saturday.  Good think we love it.

I finally let Landon cut my hair.  HE's been in hair school at the MATC in Lehi since March.  He has cut everyone's hair in the family and now mine.  HE did a great job layering it.  This same day he cut Wayne's and Addison's hair and he did Monson's and Tayla's the day before.  It's great watching Landon get better and better at this craft.  He will do awesome and takes after his Great Grandpa Grant Butters, His Great Uncle Steve Butters and his uncle Gary Call.  I love that this is a male dominated industry in our family.    Landon works at an assisted living center on Fridays, doing little old lady hair.  He loves to talk and talk and help these sweet ladies look and feel good.

Wayne and I love being grandparents.  We take the kids whenever we can and we sit on the floor and play cars, or read books, or build towers..whatever it takes.  I really enjoy watching the baby turn into the toddler and the smart two year old, the questioning 4 year old and then a reader and doing and gaining confidence.  We have decided to do a trip with each grand kid...like around age 10-12.  When they still like us and before they have a teenage attitude.  We will do this instead of birthday gifts -- and save that money into a travel fund.    It's a good idea.
Poppy has the greatest open mouth smile...she definitely gets it from her gorgeous mom- Bre.  We celebrate Poppy and Bre's birthdays this month!
Lexi and Monson are enjoying their new Saratoga Springs experience...still a lot of dirt flying everywhere with no yards going in until next spring.  They have a huge ward with 4 primaries...it will need to be split very soon.
