Grand time

Sophia is in Once Upon a Mattress at Center Point Academy.  She gets to be the bossy queen, and she's doing a great job.  She's only 13 and has her first "real" part.  I"m really proud of her.

Sophia is a hoot.  She's created this fake life size doll named Jerry- that she likes to put in different places in her house to scare the crap out of Andrew, Alex and Landon.  She decided to bring Jerry to the movies with us and then a sleep over at Meema's and Pappa's house.  

Wayne was the hero to Alfie and Sophia and took them tubbing on a really foggy, cold day.  They loved it..and they built 2 snow men too.    I was the hero at the end making everyone hot cocoa and toast to dip in it.   We love spending time with our grands.

 

Hair in a bun

 With my Rotator Cuff surgery, I've been really out of it with my hair and makeup. Every night Wayne puts my hair in a bun on my head, so I can sleep better.  He's come a long way from his first try to now 4 weeks later.  A new skill!   

January Birthday season

Our Birthday season is in full swing.  We celebrated Dec/Jan birthdays with a family dinner, cake and ice cream .  We always go around the table and everyone says something they love/appreciate about this family member.  It's a good exercise for adults and for the kids. They like having things said about them, and it's good for them to think about others as well.

We celebrated Elsie- Dec.2, Andrew - Dec. 26,  Monson - Dec. 29, Wayne- Jan. 7, Alfie - Jan. 15, Lady - Jan. 19,  Truman- Jan. 21, and Laila Jan. 22.

Holly got Wayne some cookies for his 61st birthday.

Rose Bowl 2.0

 Our "once in a life time" Rose Bowl game experience last year, turned into a repeat, this year.   We got to go see the rose bowl floats, with Candy Tippets again as the master florist. And get on the UTAH float before the rest of the world saw it. 

 It was sad..we lost.  But it was great once again to be with Family and Friends...and especially to get to be with Markus and Laila over the holidays.  I have been to this stadium 3 times in the last year and we have lost EVERY time...so no more for me.  I may be the jinx, but I'm not spending any more money on this endeavor.

We tailgated durin the day...with Ben and Jackee so that was nice.
