Why we are here

We truly have not had one neighbor or ward member show up at our front door.  This is fine with us-- we live in the mission field and know that we are ALL IN with or without outside support.  But we did have a sweet experience with a ward member.

Wayne and I bore our testimonies the first week of September and expressed what a miracle it is that we are even here.  How this change wasn't even on our radar 6 months ago and then God put everything in place and made it happen...and that we didn't know why we were here, but we are looking forward to finding out because this move has felt very God-led.

The Day after we got a knock on our front door from a sweet ward member, Jill Swenson, offering us stickers and a print that's all LGBTQ related.  After we bore our testimonies in church she looked us up on "the socials" and found out about our family and that we are allies and she brought over all this awesome LGBTQ stuff and visited with us.  She has a trans child, so all of a sudden she feels like she has somebody in the ward who she can relate to.  It’s all very sweet.  She said maybe this is why you moved here. Let's just say tears were flowing. We talked and laughed together for an hour. She is delightful!

Gender identity is very complex....but being kind is not.
