December activities- 2019

Laila playing percussion

Laila had many programs with her XELA group at office parties, school assemblies, ward parties and at the Church Office Building and Joseph Smith Memorial Building.    This was all leading up to her Christmas choir concert with all of the choirs and the full BHS orchestra on Dec 17 and 18th.    We took Wanee and Holly with us, of course, and we all loved it.

Cousin Becca surprised Layla, her friends and a lot of family with a surprise Christmas visit from the Philippines.  She's been serving there since July with her parents as mission presidents over the Quezon City, Philippines mission.    I took Laila to Chick- fil-a which is what Becca's request was for food. She missed Chick-fil-a so much.  Well, when Laila saw Becca and Becca saw Laila it was a bawl fest.  They couldn't believe it.  They hugged and cried for 5 minutes.  It was very sweet.
Landon had his Uncle Candy's Christmas party.  He has all of the the nieces and nephews and his two kids- Andrew and Sophia for a FUN before Christmas party.  They made pizzas, got gifts and watched a Muppet Christmas Carol.

My sibling Christmas party was lunch at Chile Amor then gifts at my house afterward.  The waitress commented on Wayne's ugly cat sweater and how much she loved it, so he took it off and gave it to her with a Merry Christmas.  She couldn't believe it.    (I think he was just trying to find any reason he could not to have to wear that sweater again.  )

Holly's Friend to Freind Christmas program was so special.  It really gets us into the true spirit of Christmas.  So much fun, so much devotion, so many angels on the stage.

Poppy had a hard night... no idea what really happened.
