Valentines

Our Family "Love Fest' was on Sunday.  We had most of the family ( No Tru, Sophia or Andrew) and Wanee and Holly join us.    Highlights included sitting around and listening to Addison and Bre recount  and act out stories from their recent cruise off the Baja Peninsula.... Introducing the flying shark!  We thought the grands were loving it,  until Alfie burst out crying when it was flying towards him.  He got better as the night wore on, and by the end he was holding and hugging the helium shark balloon...and even flying it with the remote control.   Tayla, of course, was fearless from the beginning.   Then we all played Family Feud... this was more of a feud than a fest.  I forget how some of my children are really competitive..... (cough, cough...Monson)
We have mandatory couple pictures.  Wayne took it with Laila...which warranted an obligatory eye roll.

 Add and Bre.....

 Landon and Alex....
 Monson, Tayla and Lexi....

I love my Wayne.  He is my person.  My Forever.  I like doing whatever with him, wherever.  He is a calming influence on me and our family.  He is so smart and so spiritual and I can't believe he's mine .

Our Valentine's Night celebration included GIFTS from Wayne...Flowers for me and Balloons and candy for Laila with a sweet not from Wayne to Laila saying.."I will always be your forever Valentine--Love Dad"    Laila had some misguided high hopes that a boy in school was going to do something...and it didn't work out, so she was sad, then so thrilled that her dad remembered her.  We all went out for the evening...
First a cheap dinner at the COSTCO food court.... you can't beat 2 buck pizza and a 1.50 hot dog and drink.   There's nothing that spells romance more than eating in a food court with the smell of rubber tires wafting in from the Costco tire department.  We laughed a lot....but we just spent a lot of money on two tickets to a Billy Joel concert, so this is what we could afford.

Then the 3 of us went to see a suspense/horror film that Laila has been waiting to see for over a month-- "Split" with James McAvoy... it was pretty good for that type of movie.  The scariest jump out of your seat parts were when the lady next to Laila screamed out loud 3 different times...we couldn't stop laughing.

We did the entire evening on $30.00!  Wayne for the Valentine's Win!
