We celebrated Holly's retirement after working 28 years at Subway in Centerville. Actually 26 years, because of Covid..but 28 in Holly's mind. Holly told us before Covid that she was done working at Subway and didn't want to go back, but we all convinced her that work was good for her and Subway wanted her so she decided when Cyrrena and Terry got home from their mission she would let Cyrrena take her back in to work. In the meantime, Subway messaged Holly that she was done working, and she could keep her uniform and use it for a Halloween costume. Holly did not like this idea. Anyway, when Cyrrena and Holly went in, they told her they didn't have a place for her anymore. Holly was devastated and wondered why Subway "quit me." So to help Holly have a good final memory around Subway, we threw her a retirement party.
It was fun.
Holly wanted it to be a surprise party even though she already knew about it, so she waited inside until the time, then Mark went in to get her and we all yelled surprise! Holly responded with, "You shouldn't have."We had family and friends stop by and had cake and ice cream, a sign and balloons to celebrate.
Holly decided her two favorite nephews at the party were Alex Madsen and Alex Buzelli |
