My Tru was in charge of getting the thank you gift to give to his SBO advisor.
She is a great lady who spends tons of time at activities and games, helping the kids stay involved and focused. "V" is at every dance.
I got to be a chaperone at the dances this year too.
There is one song that V will always dance to, it's called "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard.
She loves that song, and the officers love having her on the dance floor, dancing with them to the sugar song. It's a kick.
T went on line and found really cute t shirts with cereal bowls or grape fruit on them that said, "Pour some sugar on me." He presented the idea of getting this shirt for V to the other officers, collected the money and was ready to order the shirt. These were all sold out. He found another design with a ladies outline and a microphone. He ordered it.
The t-shirt came today, just in time for his end of year party.
He was so excited as he ripped open the packaging. He showed me the shirt. I asked him what the design was supposed to be...I couldn't see a lady with a microphone at all...
It's actually a lady pole dancing with the words Pour Some Sugar on Me , on and around her figure.
POLE DANCING
I haven't stopped laughing.
I have tears rolling down my face.
Tru is so embarrassed.
I told him, " maybe it's a lady with a really big microphone between her legs."
Oh, it's too funny.
I love my naive children.
I hope his SBO advisor likes her shirt.......she's getting it anyway.
Hopefully she'll remember that it's the thought that counts.
Sugar anyone?

I feel bad for Truman after all the thought and energy he put into it. But Bob and I just got a great chuckle out of it!!
That made my day. I haven't laughed that hard for a while. I'm going to have to give him a really hard time for this...
I have the sound of your laughter ringing in my ears as I imagine being there when you all figured it out. I love that laugh!
I'm sorry to say that my verification word today is:
retch
Hardly.
Funny, funny, funny! I too am glad that there are a few like T who are still naive.
Maybe I'll get him a big stick for graduation and call it a microphone.....he'll never know.
Ha Ha Ha! I loved reading this even though I knew what it would say. Good Job Trumie!!!!
HA HA HA. I'm sending this to Brooke.
