Fugitive with Kathleen

I did a Fugitive game Tuesday night with Kathleen Blake as my partner.  Wendy Inkley with her Let’s Play group hosted the Fugitive game and we showed up with 6 other ladies all in black.  Danny and Wendy drove around in the van trying to catch us as we went from Jennie P Stewart Elementary School to the Centerpoint Theatre Marquis.

Kathleen and I didn’t get caught, but we went to some elaborate measures not to.  We climbed a fence into a back yard… Kathleen leaped it like no big deal.. I couldn't get a toe hold– so I told her to just “save herself” and leave me.  She wouldn’t.   I struggled to get myself over the fence and today I have many bruises to show for it..but I did it and I was proud of myself.  We laughed so hard.  Then the security lights turned on and we froze like raccoons..then shimmied along the fence to get to another lower gate, that I put my big legs over– it crotched me a little bit..and then Kathleen had to climb and leap that fence.  We dove into bushes, hit the dirt when we saw car lights..and made it to our destination.  I hadn’t run so much in years!...and did I say we laughed a lot, cuz we did.

After Wendy treated us all to ice cream cones at Snelgroves at 11:00 at night…. !  Felt like kids again. We don’t stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing.
