I wanted a birthday hike so.....I went hiking with Linda Wangsgaard and her niece McKenna, up Albion Basin to Cecret Lake. IT was GORGEOUS..and HOT, since we didn’t really start hiking til almost 10:00. At the beautiful flower filled valley I spun around while McKenna sang Happy Birthday to me.
We took the shortest route which was basically straight up a mountain… It was NUTS, and STEEP and I had to stop a lot to catch my breath and get my heart rate back down. I am 60 after all, but the lake view was worth it.
