Elsie!

This was an Elsie Adele week.

We finally had her baby blessing...and two days later her first birthday.

Elsie is a joy.  She is the sweetest, most content baby.  She never fusses and is really so enjoyable to be around.  We all think this.  Elsie loves to stare at you until she catches your eye, then she smiles really big.  Elsie loves to be held and cuddled and will just sit with you for hours.  It's truly amazing.

Monson gave a beautiful blessing in his home...because of covid.  (Monson and family, Wayne and I, Lexi's mom Rebecca, Addison's family in attendance.).  They waited til Lexi's mom from Michigan could fly out and be a part of this.  Lexi's grandpa Syd passed away this year, and her aunt took one of his white shirts and sewed it down into a blessing dress for Elsie.  She looked so cute in it.

It's different blessing a one-year-old, instead of a newborn, Elsie did not want to be held like a baby, so she sat up on the hands and was squirmy.  Monson blessed her with love and power and a memory that she is a beloved daughter of God.  I'm grateful for Monson and his constant faith in Jesus Christ and involvement in the church.

Lexi has had a donut theme all year with taking pics of Elsie to see how she has grown and changed each month.    Elsie, just played with her frosting... she didn't put one bite or one lick in her mouth.
