Pioneer Day fun

We are honoring our ancestors on Pioneer Day.  All of my sides-- Cole, Butters, Nelson, Heiner...were pioneer peeps..coming to Utah for a new Latter-Day Saint life.  Some participated in polygamy.  My Grandpa Truman was born on the plains of Nebraska on the way to Utah.  Anyway, we thought it would be fun to take some old-timey pics to celebrate.  My family is always up for things...

These could be some of our early ancestors.... coming through Ellis Island... we all look very European.  I'm loving the beard that Andrew is sporting.  And the added noses!

Layton City has a fun thing they do on the 24th -- it starts at 9:30 pm. with all those who want to put on glow sticks and electric lights, and participate in a volunteer parade that's really short-- from Gentile to Wasatch-- and then a big glow stick dance party.  We decided to check it out, and it didn't disappoint.
